Transit of Venus

Today, in between the patches of sunshine, we got to view Venus traveling across the sun.  It was a very tiny dot on the sun and was at times hard to see.  It was interesting to see just how small a planet is compared to the sun.

ASB Get Wise Visit

Today we were visited by Julian from ASB.

He taught us some very clever sayings to remember when we are dealing with money.

Speed towards our needs,

Wait for our wants!

If unsure always count... (this is when we are dealing with handing over money.   This way we will know how much we are spending and how much change we will get.)

We had a great time Julian!

Fox Masks

Today we constructed Fox Masks using paper bags & colour paper.  We stuck on our ears, nose and eyes using our new hot glue guns that don't burn.  This means we can be independent and use them ourselves without help.

Monday 30th April

Today everyone got on the computers to type their personal recounts.  As well, we planned our stories before hand by drawing our pictures using KidPixs.  Our recording of dominant sounds are improving, along with our drawing skills.
